Outstanding!!

We stayed at Villa Aphrodite at the end of August - beginning of September. A great location for the peace and quiet needed for a relaxing holiday but only a short drive to the beach. The 5 minute morning walk to the village bakery for fresh bread was a great way to get the day started and the village offered a couple of restaurants, bars and shops which had everything that you could need. The villa was spacious, very clean and had a great layout. Breakfast, lunch or dinner on the balcony with views over the village and valley. We would absolutely visit again If I was not set on seeing the rest of the world!

Have stayed in these villas already 3 times, and wish i had an excuse to go back more often! Each time was with a group of friends from around the world - and the consistent reactions have been totally positive. Great big spaces, amazing views, nice pools, a perfect set-up for a family or group holiday. The little village of Gavalohori is also a gem, a really special place. Christos is a responsive manager, who is on top of every request - and the on-the-spot care of Frosso is perfect. Highly recommend any of these villas - for any reason ;)
Villa Aphrodite:
Excellent property,beautiful village
Villa Aphrodite:
Sehr schönes Ferienhaus!
Villa Aphrodite:
Super Extra Great
I had a 10 days stay with kid and wife in July 2008.
We had an great vacation at this Villa. Everything was just great.
For example, when we arrived at 22h30 at the villa, a staff was waiting us with great food softs and wine...
If you are waiting from your holidays a certain "niveau" you will found it there.
The place in itself is super located at the top of a small village, the people who manage the villa are so kind and friendly.
The village is a real typical Cretan village.
No noise, unbelievable view with the mountains in back, super pool, great food (you can order).
What can I say more ....
Villa Aphrodite:
Grozügiges Haus mit allen Annehmlichkeiten.
Das Highlight: die Terasse mit Panoramablick zum Einnehmen der Mahlzeiten.
Technisch fast schon überausgestattet: PS2(Spiele mitnehmen!), benutzbarer Computer, W-Lan,
Villa Ariadne:
The Villa Ariadne experience
October weather was fabulous with beautifully hot days and nights (other than 1 stormy day). Owner/manager Christos could not have been nicer and Froso is great to deal with. This villa Ariadne experience is highly recommended.
Villa Ariadne:
Super luxurious villa in friendly village
Villa Artemis:
Amazing Villa
Gavalohori is beautiful but we didnt spend much time there as we loved Almirida where we went for meals and shopping. We didnt really have to go into Kalives at all. The view and countryside is amazing and sitting on the lounge balcony overlooking the valley is a memory I will never forget. You will need a car for this villa even thought the village is near.
I highly recommend this villa.. we will be definately going back! My only one slight fault was that the railings on the balcony were widely spaced apart and we had to keep an extra vigilant eye for out toddler but this is a small criritsm for such a great place!
Villa Artemis:
Perfect luxury getaway with breathtaking views!

Villa Athina:
First rate
Housekeeper v. helpful.
Villa Athina:
Super Villa for a relaxed holiday!
We enjoyed many meals outside on the veranda and the gas BBQ works great. Walking down the hill every morning to the bakery is a pleasure and the beach with good seaside dining is nearby. The bigger town of Chania is just half an hour drive away and offers quality shops, but be aware of the siesta opening hours.
We are very excited about this villa and have plans on staying here again. Thank you Froso and Christos for your service and kindness!
Villa Athina:
Beautiful spacious Villa with special layout
Speaking of helpful, Froso, the lady taking care of the residents of the Apokron Villas is such a nice person. She is always reachable when you need her. The closest beach is about 10 minutes by car in Almyrida. The beach is not that big but it’s cozy and clean. There are several restaurants in Almyrida as well. As Gavalochori is out in the country you will definitively need a car to get around. Also I would recommend flying in and out of Chania as Heraklion is a 1 hour 45 minutes’ drive from the villa. Overall we had a great vacation and we can definitively recommend it.
I recommend also visiting the unique glass fabrication (www.artofliving.gr) in Kokkino Chorio (20’ drive) and the greek-roman site in Aptera (30’).
Villa Alkyoni:
Fabulous!
Villa Alkyoni:
Excellent luxurious villa in nice cozy village
We where greeted by the nice lady Froso, who showed us the house etc.
She came by every day to clean and make sure all was in prestine condition.
The villa seemed brand new and the terrasse and pool where perfect for us and the children.
Overall the villa and service was all we could hope for and we are already planning to go back next year.
